Nursery Mood Board: Pink Elephants

This coming May, my wonderful sister-in-law Savanna and her husband Brandon will become new parents to a beautiful baby girl.

She asked if I would help decorate the nursery and of course, I was more than happy to!
So over the last couple of months we have been emailing each other back and forth (she lives in Phoenix, AZ) and fine tuning the details. She explained that she wanted a "Pink elephant" themed nursery so I took that into consideration and put little touches of elephant/elephant related memorbelia into the plans.

I put together a mood board of what the nursery will look like:

I'm heading out to Phoenix this weekend to help her get the nursery all set up.
We will also be tackling a few DIY projects so hopefully all goes well!
Hopefully I will have some before & after pictures for you soon.

Look For Less: Tufted Chair

Overstock.com is usually my go-to spot for finding a deal but this time around, they were the higher bargained vendor.
They sell this lovely tufted club chair for $584.99

Well I found it's grey twin brother at TJ Maxx recently for only $299

I love the high back with the tufting and they even had another one in tan!
Wounld't 2 of these look great flanking the ends of a dining table like this:

Or as an office chair, like this:

or this:

Oh, and lets not forget the bedroom:

I'm thinking I need myself a tufted chair. Like now.

Loft Bedrooms

Today's post is dedicated to loft bedrooms.
Since our master bedroom is also a loft space (also known as that awkward left over attic space) I find it hard to visualize what to do with our room.
But sometimes it's all about working with what you got and honestly, I don't mind the challenge.

Table Top Reading

I recently picked up a few more books for the living room coffee table.
She was looking a bit bare and some good reading material was on my watch list.
Lucky me, I stopped in Half Price Books where I found some great books for only a fraction of the cost.

Some of the bigger books cost up $75 brand new!
I think the most expensive book I purchased that day was $10.
I loooove me some deals.

Just a few others from around my living room.

Happy Monday!
